While spending time with the Berber women in Morocco, learning about them and listening to their stories, Katharine soon realized that argan oil is not merely a component of a superior skincare regimen, but part of a beauty ritual that is kept alive by the sharing of traditions. Inspired by their warmth and temperament, Katharine decided to create a beauty line that gave back by honoring their craft while improving their lives.
The idea was born: a beautifully packaged (the design made iconic with the addition of the Berber women’s signatures), personal and effective organic skincare line, which nourishes both the skin and the spirit. Produced in close cooperation with chemists, botanists and designers, the vision recognizes female beauty from around the world. Katharine is constantly developing and producing the Kahina product line, allowing her minimalist aesthetic and philanthropic spirit to flow into it.
